Frühling ist wiedergekommen. Die Erde
ist wie ein Kind, das Gedichte weiß; … Rainer Maria RilkeSpring has returned. The Earth is like a child that knows poems. … ~Rainer Maria Rilke
“Spring drew on…and a greenness grew over those brown beds, which, freshening daily, suggested the thought that Hope traversed them at night, and left each morning brighter traces of her steps.”
― Charlotte Brontë, Jane Eyre
Hi everyone, adventurers, colleagues, friends,
Spring is here – at least in these parts – and what a wonderful time of year! I am out and about and can’t get enough of it. With the abundance of nature all around, I have been thinking a lot about abundance in general. This quotation speaks to me right now:
“There is a natural law of abundance which pervades the entire universe, but it will not flow through a doorway of belief in lack and limitation.”(Paul Zaiter)
So what’s your definition of abundance? My Oxford dictionary entry reads: 1. A very great quantity, usually considered to be more than enough. 2. wealth, affluence.
Pretty general then, at least the first part, as in: an abundance of blossoms, happiness, health, peace, love, friends, joy, adventures, assignments (in no particular order of priority) … and yes, why not money and riches as well? I like the idea of “more than enough,” here. It implies that essentially there is plenty here. Enough to share with others and enough to go around. Enough flowers and enough riches.
Signing off for today, with a heartfelt thanks to my “salon sisters,” who encourage me to stick to my goals. More about the salon and the sisters another time.
